Engineering Better Cushioning in a Smaller Package

Republic Packaging Of Canada Ltd uses innovative package testing and design systems to ensure your cushion packaging solutions are top-notch. That means a fast turnaround from design to finished product. We can typically go from concept to finished design solution within 24 hours. We serve all of Ontario, so contact us with your packaging needs whether you are in Mississauga or Sarnia.

Republic Packaging Of Canada provides design assistance throughout your package development process. Analyzing dynamic cushion curves, we incorporate technologies that include:

  • Rep-Test

  • Rep-Design

  • Rep-CAD

  • Cushion Curves

REP-TEST: A System to Test Package Performance

REP-TEST is a computerized drop test system we have developed to conduct physical drop-tests. This simulates shocks that your product may encounter in the distribution environment. We’re able to record G-levels experienced during free-falls and design packaging that protects your products from damage. Your packaging always meets or surpasses ISTA, ASTM, UPS and FedEx standards.

REP-DESIGN: Better Packages in Less Time

Rep-Design allows our designers to choose between many materials to get optimum performance with the least cost and smallest cube. Rep-Design analyzes simulated drop-test results and determines the most suitable material to construct your packaging from.

Required input is minimal, with only six data fields being required:

  • Product Weight

  • Drop Height

  • Fragility

  • Length

  • Width

  • Height

REP-CAD: Developing Packaging While Your Product is Being Developed

An object-oriented, distributed software package, Rep-CAD allows for concurrent engineering. That means a much shorter packaging design cycle time and the need for prototype building minimized. With Rep-CAD, we are able to share drawings with you electronically. Choose from standard foam, corrugated shapes or a custom design.

Cushion Curves: Determining Minimum Cushioning Material

Republic Packaging Of Canada uses a series of scientific graphs to determine minimum cushioning required to protect your products. By entering cushioning material, drop height, product weight and fragility, our dynamic cushion curves determines the thickness and area required.
